Why to study SOCIAL STUDIES ....how will it help in future..??am RID of it...?

When I was in High School I thought it was not going to help me in the future either. Now that I am older I wish I would have payed attention. Trust me you need to learn everything that is being taught. You will definetly need that information. It's not being taught for nothing. Just make the best out of it!

Drop out, Become self-employed and make a large fortune having other people making money for you.

That's what I did. No social studies required.

Social studies teaches us about human behavior, about cause and effect, and about different people in the past, many of whom faced some of the same situations we do.  Social studies is perhaps one of the most relevant topics you can study.

For example, how can you choose a candidate in an election if you can not intelligently evaluate how past actions and foreign policy decisions affect the peoples of other countries.  Social studies deals with all this.
