Why today's society is drifting away from God ?

The world is getting worse every year. Sexual immoralities, love of money and violent acts seem to be the only things people are attracted to. The complete opposite of what the Bible preaches.

The world has got it's head spun around backwards, like the girl in Exorcist, away from God, and faces darkness. This isn't exactly everyone's fault, but is being done by evil Zionist Jews which are the same ones who had Christ murdered.

They said that in the 60s when Hippies were thought to be destroying good Christian values. They said that in the 20's when "satanic ***** music" AKA Jazz was destroying good Christian virtues, they said that in the Victorian era which provoked people to new heights of prudishness....

...they said that back in ancient Rome when Emperor Augustus railed against immorality. They said that in Biblical Israel when people just didn't worship God like they used too...

In 50 years, people will wonder where the good old days of 2008, when people were morally upright, went. It's just a generational thing. The elder generation ALWAYS thinks itself superior to the new generation.

Love of God is something one's inner child, one's soul, does with joy.

People can wax gross with an abundance of material goods.  The inner joy then finds weedy competition as childish greed, etc.

There is a good way to resonate with God, Love.  And there is a broad way to ignore one's inner Child or Holy Christ Self:  Saint Martha-like busyness in the scientistic and synthetic self-ish worlds.

Today's society? Civilizations have become gradually less retarded over time. A few thousand years ago most of the world stopped worshiping the sun and started worshiping human like gods. Now we are ending the craziness all together. Nietzsche documented this quite a few generations ago.

order in society comes from the church, it always has lookin bak through history, the standards were set through religion.

It doesnt help wen there are so many religions n cultures in 1 place, i mean look at australia.

bak through history, the english were like catholic or wateva n a certain king made a new branch of religion and tht was wat people had to follow

it was rong to steal, so they were hanged and tht influence of wat is rong (not going into wether it was right to hang) came from the church and the religion.

problems start wen the leader alows more than one religion in the same place because there are different standards of right and rong

usualy if a country was split because of two religions, the people were split physically into those groups, living seperately

but those within the group still would follow the morals of the religion because tht was how the society worked

with so many religions there is no general standard of what is rite n rong n there are so many diff 1ns to choose from tht people just give up on religion altogether n choose to live thier own lives.

through all this, people of our religion (not sure wat u r but u sound like u belive in God - im christian) hav continued to live in this mixed up society and over the years our morals hav changed because of the rest of societys bad influence.

if the church gets bak on trak n gathers numbers, it becomes more of an influence to the people of the rest of society around us. n we can therefore set the standards again.

I read in a Jehovah's witness pamphlet that kids who go off to college tend to stop believing in the religion. It said that keeping kids from going to college will most likely keep them from renouncing their faith. So I would guess society is drifting away from gods because of higher education.

Are you sure about that being the complete opposite of what the Bible says? All of those acts can be found in the Bible, and most of those acts are condoned, if done in the name of God.

Frankly, it isn't. Stop listening to mass media, and take a look at some history books. The world has always had its share of debauchery, greed and violence, and probably always will. I'd make the argument that we have an innate tendency towards s*x, violence, and greed, because all three play a role in self-preservation - continuing the species, eliminating competition, and gaining resources.

Now, that doesn't mean that we can't overcome these things, and many people do. Some people don't know any better, some don't care. Try looking at the people who are doing it right, and help them in leading by example, rather than bemoaning the awful state of the world. You aren't going to make the world a better place by complaining about it - you have to go out and do it.

I know this is a philosophy section but since you asked this I will respond in kind.  

All the problems of today have been prophecied since the world will enter moral darkness and call it light.  Remember in the last days evil will be called good and good will be called evil.  I never thougth in my liftetime Christians would be called bad and ridiculed to death by every media in society today.  But it is.  And not just in America the land of freedom but in every nation on earth.

Our days are not near as bad as in the days of Noah where it was filled with violence continually and wickeedness was a way of life from the partents to the little children.  But Jesus's coming will be as in the days of Noah.

Yes we are drifting away from god, but this has nothing to do with the abundance of immoral acts.  Realize, there are more people now than ever before, hence more evil people,  add in the ability and ease of watching the people and the peoples ability to access this information it only makes sense that evil will seem to be all around us.  There were probably just as many evil men in the world a hundred years ago but you would only ever hear about the ones in your neighborhood.  The news stations love to report despair so we americans only ever see that side of our people.  its just a ploy to scare and control the masses.  If we all think the world is evil than we will all behave like good little children.  As far as drifting away from god, its not because we are becoming more immoral its because we are starting to think for ourselves and no longer need an all powerful governing force to tell us how to be faithful.
