This is not a trick question. I will be honest, I am voting for McCain, and from what I know about Obama there is no way I would vote for the man. My question is an honest one and has no ties to it, it is out of curiosity, why are you voting for Obama?

  1. I cannot think of any reason to vote for Obama; and I never will. He is far too left for me.

  2. because i hate republicans and what they stand for.

  3. im not voting for mc cains attack dog, im not convinced, all they did was continue the fear factor, next!!

  4. last 8 years were h**l on my family (as many other can attest to in America)--i want that party out!!!

    TIME FOR A CHANGE.

  5. he can solve the Rubix cube!

  6. I hope you weren't hoping for specifics. lol.

Hey Greg V, not all young people. I'm 20 and I'm not falling for his slick talking, and promises  of "change" and "hope", while having no experience.

EDIT: Ohhhh, god forbid McCain is elected and doesn't address the issue of Bollywood and that an Indian was voted as the most beautiful woman on earth.

  7. if you dont know you better start researching...and because i dont want a dead guy and brainless barbie representing me or my country period.

  8. The question should be How can you vote for Obama. The man that does not salute our flag, who makes his own presidential seal. who goes to an Anti American church for 20 years (but he never heard the stuff)who's  family is only proud of america because they elected him a presidential candidate.

  9. Because we're part of a global community. We owe a lot of money to China; we get oil from Iraq; we've got our own resources but we're using them up. Japan does not grow its own rice. It buys it from California. India is emerging as a cultural power. Bollywood is expanding enormously. Know who "the most beautiful woman in the world" is? Aishwarya Rai. Indian actress. She got the most votes because we no longer have the most and the most united people.

McCain's policies continue to ignore that, and we continue to lose money. Worse, we're losing prestige. Britain is our ally, and its own Members of Parliament no longer take our word on torture. (Check source, or Google "Britain US lies.") Think about that: our own allies think we are liars. And they have some reason to. We gave them bad information and dragged them into a futile war that's continuing to tear apart our economy. The rest of the world are the ones who like Obama's plan to rebuild.

After McCain's flip to "never mind, waterboarding is okay," I desperately want a president who will put us back in a position of respect. It's clear to me that McCain will continue to keep our focus inward, continue to paint other nations in black and white in terms of opposition to us (remember Bush's "bad people" speech?) and fail to hold or improve our global position. He won't start to earn back our allies' trust or start us back towards the top.

    Obama will.

And all the other reasons, but, uh, this is too long already.

  10. I am not voting for Obama. Thise is the first time in my life I am voting for a Republican.

  11. Obama is twisted. Look at the people he looked up to, his dad, preacher, etc.. and his overall beliefs. If you HAVE looked at those, and still support him, move to brazil. The guy won't even put his hand over his heart for the American national Anthem. Did I miss something, or is this guy really running to be the president of the U.S.? He supports the U.N. more then he does the U.S.. The nation state system we know today will start to become a thing of the past if this person is elected. FOOLS, and uneducated nitwits who no nothing of obama will be the ones who vote for him!

  12. Obama drinks specialty coffee from Starbucks, so do most of the young people in this country, that's why they are voting for him...

  13. I can't trust the republican party again after the last eight years.

And even though I am listening to what the republicans say I can find no reason to start trusting them about anything.

I don't want this war to continue on and on, I want my taxes spent on domestic issues.

  14. Because he is a people candidate and he gets it.

  15. In one word: Progress

The conservative theology in a nutshell is to stick to tradition.. But America is a different society since the signing of the declaration of independence and we HAVE to change.. We have to move forward as a country and that is the liberal theology in a nutshell

As a matter of fact, the declaration of independence itself is a pretty liberal document (liberalism is about individual rights and social equality)

Conservatives and liberals are both necessary: We need to have conservatives to maintain what our fore fathers believed and we have to have liberals to move us forward

In my opinion it's time for another liberal president

  16. Because under Bush/Republican party we have expanded gov't we have increased debt and we're at war. The repub party has to go. I don't want to risk more of the same, at least when a dem is in office we reap the benefits in the economy. History has taught us that lesson, it's irrefutable. And he's black(may seem shallow) but if the roles were reversed and this was the first white presidential nominee 99% of whites would vote for him, if not for their race then for the possible contrast. We're the only country that will vote a party out of power if it's doing well and vote to keep a party in power if it's doing poorly. Recent history is a testament to that, with exception of congress, congress is treated a little different, at least before and after the American inquisition.
