The plastic drywall anchors used to hang shelves that the screws go into wont stay in drywall. They keep sliding out when I go to hang shelf. Any solutions??? Dont want to keep adding more holes to walls.

  1. If hanging a shelf and the anchor won't support it try using a wedge type of anchor. They are very easy to use.

  2. Most plastic anchors need the correct length and size screws.

just try a different size s***w.

  3. Get some good, old-fashioned, metal molly bolts.  Since you've already got the holes in the wall, these will be an easy add.

They work better than the plastic kind, because the metal brackets inside the drywall actually expand to a couple inches wide, as you drive the s***w in.
