Why want my bird come out of his cage?

I have been training this Indain Ringneck for 4 Months!!!!!! and he WILL NOT SIT ON MY FINGER WHEN I PUT IT IN HIS CAGE!!!!! What can i do???

  1. SO CUTE THANKS! I have a blue female and a green male right now. but your bird is wild it is not a hand tamed bird.

    But if you want a hand tamed bird like this you must find a breeder who hand feeds their birds to get a tamed one.

    and to my understanding about these indian ring neck parakeets, you have got to spend nearly all your waking hours with the bird in order to keep it tamed, left alone too long during the day will have it go wild again very easily. I know mine are not tamed so I am not going in there and harrass them and I have only had mine a total of 3 weeks.


  2. Indian ringnecks are not social birds when they are not hand fed by a person.  I doubt that you will ever get him to do this.  Either find a hand fed baby or get the opposite s*x and raise them yourself(I actually do not recommend this as it is very time consuming)
