Why was Al Aqsa built on a site that was holy to Jewish people?

Are muslims and christians allowed in the wailing wall and jews and christians allowed inside al aqsa? they all worship the same god after all.

It was the place where the Prophet ascended to heaven and where he recieved the 5 prayers the most important aspect of Islam

You fail to remember that all 3 major Abrahamic religions are actually originated from the same general message.. As muslims we beleive in the message of Moses and Jesus..

so this mosque shouldnt be seen as a threat to anyone.. Especially if we all pray to the same God anyways.. At least I pray to the same  God that Moses and Jesus prayed to...

So what is holy to one, should be holy to the next.. at least to me it would be...

Because it was also believed to be the site where the Prophet Mohammed ascended into heaven.  Jews believe it is the site where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac but an angel of God stopped him.

Muslims, Christians, and Jews are allowed to visit and pray at the Wailing Wall. Only Christians and Muslims are allowed to visit al-Aqsa. There are armed guards at the entrance who do not let Jews enter.

Prophet Solomon and Prophet David are Prophets of Islam. For jews they may be merely kings but for us they are King Prophets.

It is holy to Muslims too.  And the Jews of the time weren't doing anything with it.  It's not like the Muslims demolished anything to build al Aqsa.  That was done by the Romans.
