Why was Earnhardt Jr's Pit crew so slow this sunday?

Question

I was at the race and I seen him going into the pits in like 5th place and coming out once in 25th and once in 34th, what happened in the pits.

Dale Jr drives me nuts on track pass, I swear he is never happy, he tells Tony Jr he is to tight before he does one lap after the adjustments are made, then he is too loose Tony Jr makes adjustments, it drives me nuts, I'd tell him to shut and drive, most of the time the adjustments have just made it worse, all those adjustments racks up more seconds in the pits, yes, I'm glad he can drive and drive hard, but he just makes it hard on himself.. Tony Jr is a good crew chief, but heck when you have a driver that changes his mind every 3 seconds.. I feel for Tony Jr.. I was happy for that 4th place,  and the racing he did with Burton..But these adjustments and long pit stops have got to stop, if he wants to win a race..

Ya know? I wished I knew myself! Making adjustments? or should I say making the car worse? Every weekend it seems to be the same ole thing. Jr runs good the entire race only to have the car adjusted the wrong way near the end or slow pit stops putting him far back in the running order. Then he has to drive his a$$ off to get a top 5. Thank God he is a good driver. Else he would never see a top 15!

All he can do is drive it is the responsibility of the crew cheif and the crew to win the race in the pits and right now they ain't cuttin it. Rick will make changes at the end of the year if jr does not win the cup and it will start at the top of the box. Wait and see....

I believe one of those times it was due to Jr taking 4 tires when a bunch of others took two.  That was the first time he fell back, the second time, I'm not so sure what happened.

His crew over adjust the car, they make too many changes. It takes time to change stuff.

the time he lost most spots im pretty sure was because he and tony jr decided to take 4 tires but most others only took 2. just like when he jumped about 15 spots, everyone took 4 but he took 2.

I went this sunday too. I thought they were slow because of the heat. I think it was to hot for them in the suits that they are in.

Well he went up 13 positions at one point. Though he only took two tires, I would not consider that too slow.
