Teachers said of him "he will never amount to very much". His marks were above average, more than brilliant. He wasn't recommended for a university.

  1. That's right, he didn't have high marks in school at all. It was also noted that, for the longest time, he couldn't even tie his shoes. It is most likely, though he probably was never evaluated, that he had Asperger's Syndrome- a psychological social disorder that impairs one's ability to communicate and relate in social issues. An extreme form of introvertism, so to say. It would make sense that, if he had issues with remedial task like tying shoes, that he would also have trouble with 'remedial' tasks like basic algebra, and writing an essay.

  2. During Einstein's school days, he wasn't very good. He got along okay, but it wasn't like he was a brilliant student. He dropped out of high school to get into college early, but when failed the entrance exams so he went back and finished high school, and then majored in physics. He was a thinker, and liked to challenge scientific "fact" which was one of the reasons he wasn't reccomended. But after he published in 1905, he was regarded as one of the most brilliant thinkers of our time.

  3. But he still attended university.  He dropped out of high school to go to university early, but didn't pass the entrance exams, so he went back, finished high school, and then entered the university and graduated with a degree in physics.  Everyone is disregarded before they accomplish something, not just famous scientists.

  4. I can't believe what it is that I'm reading about one of the greatest scientist the world has ever seen.

I suggest that you research Albert Einstein's life on your own. Here is a link: Albert Einstein's Early Life

Also, if possible, get the book: EINSTEIN: His Life and Universe, by Walter Isaacson.

    ISBN: 13-978--0-7432-6473-0

And, there is audio books available on Einstein's Life and History.

Actually, it was a math instructor that called Einstein, a lazy dog, because he didn't apply himself well.  Einstein was, in secondary school, an average student.  It's true, Einstein alienated most of his professors and as a result, could not get an appointment to an academic position.  After 1905, with his Special Relativity, he was well on his way to becoming a world renown physicist.

As a child, Einstein was normal in every way except that he was delayed a bit in developing speech.  It is true that he, as well as Newton, both may have suffered from something called Asperger's Syndrome, AS.  However, this probably helped him in his grand achievement of both Special and General Relativity.

  5. Usually, people who don't perform well in school are not regarded as scientific leaders. Some people think their "colleagues" are supposed to be like them and not unlike them. Albert Einstein was completly unlike most scientists and that's why he was a genius.

  6. He wasn't  a particularly brilliant student, but he got by. His main problem was that none of his university professors would recommend him for an academic position because he was too much of a nonconformist. He criticized the university for teaching physics as though it were merely a collection of known facts, rather than a search for new information. So he took a job in the patent office and wrote a pile of brilliant and original papers. After 1905, he was never disregarded again.

  7. his marks were not above average, he could not speak well and failed school.  i have done many many many projects on him thru out my school life and i know that he failed high school, he had slurred speech and talked "like a r****d".

  8. well Einstein was the greatest scientist in all time he wanted to read the mind of god he wanbtd a theory on everthying but he died in arpil 29 1955 and fail he didnt read the mind of god but we think we got it the string theory .

  9. Thank you for your recognition.
