  1. Holland basically agreed with the Trait and Factor approach, but he didn't always think people had enough understanding of their personality traits to be honest in their self-assessments. So he developed a more in-depth introspection questionnaire and put more differentiation in personality traits to break them apart into more focused personality groups. That was supposed to give greater accuracy to the self-inspection.
