Why was Larry Sinclair arrested in DC?

On September 27, 2007, Larry Sinclair was involved in a traffic accident in New Castle, Delaware. Ten days later, on October 2, 2007, Sinclair reported that SAME wrecked car had been STOLEN!!!!

Then he filed ANOTHER insurance claim on the "stolen" car. It also seems that Sinclair gave false addresses on both claims.

This is insurance fraud, which in some states is a felony.

Prior to Sinclair's press conference, the DC police were notified that Sinclair was going to appear at the National Press Club. Evidently Sinclair had some outstanding warrants, one of which was in Colorado. The understanding is that the DC police took it from there, and he was arrested on the outstanding warrants charge.
