I thought the rugby world cup was in France so does anyone know why this game was in Cardiff?

  1. France gave Wales and Scotland a few home games in exchange for their support for hosting the event.  France wanted them to vote for France rather than for England, who also wanted to host the 2007 RWC

  2. And to add to what my esteemed colleage up there has stated, it's also so the Wallabies could smash Wales in front of a Welsh home crowd..............
