  1. He said he was dehydrated & unprofessional. I will go with the unprofessional part.

  2. All British sportsmen are inconsistent. Look at our football and rugby union teams.

Actually maybe I'm being a little harsh, the rowers and the cyclists are proving their consistency these games, just the sports people we care about are inconsistent!

  3. He lost because his Weetabix wasn't soaked in milk long enough that morning. NOT because he lacks motivation. Okay?

  4. well guess what starts a week after the olympics - The US open.

Sooner he went out in the olympics the sooner he could concentrate on this.

    I'm a bit cynical as well aren't I?

  5. He is so inconsistent! He just doesnt concentrate enough. He appears to have the ability but he is so grumpy about it all and whines about everything. When people WANT him to win and do well for our country, he moans and says this puts too much pressure on him.

I think Jamie Murray would've done better being partnered by Bogdanovic (not sure how to spell his name) or Jamie Baker but I am not sure they were of the required standard to qualify.

  6. that the US tournament was on the horizon and i think his mind was on that more than anything you could do for Team GB. Same for his brother sadly who played so poorly.

  7. Because he has no sense of humour!

  8. None of them are interested. No money involved, and there are bigger events for tennis players than the Olympics. That's the reason it shouldn't be included, along with many other sports.

  9. I agree with the unprofessional part...

He won in Cincinatti the week before and promptly missed his flight to China. He then lost weight through dehydration and when he turned up on court we saw the old petulant teenager approach from a couple of years ago.

I dont think his heart was in the event and his display with his brother in the doubles second round was awful.

I suspect he isnt keen on team events, he wants the glory for himself. After all he has missed Davis Cup events for UK because of 'injury...'

  10. Everyone have bad days. Plus since he's won a tournament, more pressure and expectations are required of him.  It's harder to stay on top, he hasn't reached yet but is expected to reached.

Plus, he's representing a country and that fact that he's one of the  top guys now, he has a chance to win a medal for Britain.

In four years, the Olympics will be held in London and that will bring more pressure providing that he stays healthy and still on his game. We'll see how he handles that.
