That's just false.  

There is an Alaskan Independence Party started back in the '80s.  It apparently argues for propositions such as that all federal land in Alaska should belong to the state government.  After all, when Texas entered the union, Texas got control of all public land, not the federal government.

When this party held its convention in Wasilla, Mayor Palin did the usual polite greeting.  She didn't vote for them or support them.  Many mayors who are not comfortable with homosexuality give formal speeches of greeting when g*y Rights events are held in their towns.

All evidence shows that Palin was a registered Republican from before the Alaskan Independence Party came into existence.  The liberals circulating the story know this, but still are purposely misrepresenting the facts so as to smear the Governor.  

It's grossly unfair to Gov. Palin that the left-wing media is doing this.  When someone accused Hillary Clinton of "prostituting" her daughter Chelsea in the campaign, the author was immdiately, and properly, slapped down because candidate's children should be off limits for partisan attacks.

Apparently the usual rules do not apply to Republican women, and Gov. Palin has been subjected to outrageous sexist attacks from, of all people, leftists like Mark Shields who would never tolerate such utterances from conservatives.  Where are the feminists?

I hope the lefties and the Obama-infatuated media continue to do what they do, however.  I'm confident that the Governor can handle herself.  Just watch her!  Meanwhile, these smears will ultimately come back to bite the Obama campaign as more and more ordinary Americans come to see the true picture of the left wing media looking down its elitist nose at us.

With the way liberals have trashed and abused this country secession isn't a bad idea. I see that you have limited this attack to Ms. Palin and Alaska but if you do your research you'll find that they're not the only ones to have considered this recently. Trashing a pregnant 17 year old girl, Attempting to trash a women who's total wrong doings include receiving a fishing w/o a license ticket and being married to a guy who received a DUI 22 years ago and is good looking enough to receive runner up in a pageant means that your desperation has totally consumed you. Where are all of the feminazi's that defend women to the death? Have they gone gutless? How about the NAGS? Are they likewise as gutless? Are you intimidated by Ms. Palin's political and leadership abilities of her beauty? Or Both? Ms. Palin is not standing by for a court action to proceed in Cali against her as your nemisis Hillary wideload Clinton. Ms. Palin is honest and a breath of fresh air for this country.

Who did she want to secede to : Russia??  Canada?  Personally I would like HER to secede and not the Alaskans.  The sooner the better for her to go.
