Why was my package "rescheduled?"?

I had a package PACKAGED at the UPS store yesterday which was scanned last night and was supposed to be delivered today. Or so the guy said. When i checked the tracking of my package, it said it was rescheduled to be delivered tomorrow. does that mean its scheduled to get there tomorrow or to actually be delivered from my city tomorrow? The place its going is only about 300 miles away from where i live. Its in state.

The only place that you can be sure to get the correct answer is UPS, I suggest you contact them.

My guess: they tried delivery today but perhaps a signature was required and nobody was there. That will trigger a rescheduled delivery
