My friend in Saudi arab last year got admission in a canadian university (for course of 2 years) and paid admission fees etc and had sufficient funds in his account to pay off ALL his studies and living costs. But when he applied, his visa was rejected with reason " after completion of your studies, certain factos may motivate you to stay in Canada". What is this? Can anyone help him out as he is genuine student with sufficient money in his account.

Whats factors embassy see in granting visa?

  1. That is no reason. The guy should appeal and his foreign ministry to talk to the Canadian embassy in Riad.

  2. with the courses that he is taking? he is a likely candidate to stay in Canada after his studies, the embassy has a right to refuse him, studying is a privilege not a right.......

  3. Maybe the course he was going to take in Canada would not allow him a suitable job back in Saudi Arabia when he graduated. So it is probable that he will seek employment in Canada rather than go back home. Maybe he was so independent from his parents (has so much money of his own) that he had no reason to return after graduation. These are only two examples.**
