He's not a coward... he's rich. He doesn't want to be bothered with boxing anymore or training. He lined his pockets with doe now he's going to retire and enjoy it before he gets punch drunk from getting knocked out like your idol oscar will eventually. He doesn't care about the sport and now that he's famous he's going to retire. Why put yourself through grueling training camps and strict diet regimes when you don't even have a passion for the sport anymore and prefer to do things like dance with stars our participate in staged wrestling matches for 20 million+ dollars. He has an excellent resume from beating people in the 5 different weight classes he was champ in. He beat Carlos Baldomir, Arturo Gatti, Jose Luis Castillo, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell, and countless other great fighters, he will leave a great legacy because he has fought great fighters unlike bums like Joe Calzaghe. What's funny is, no one seems to care that Joe Calzaghe has only fought with bums, and is ducking quality opposition like Chad Dawson, Antonio Tarver, Glen Johnson. No one is calling him a coward. He held on to the WBO's joke of a title for 10 years because he didn't want to fight for other real titles and has done a lot of things that look good on paper(i.e. 25 title defenses, 10 years+ as champ, undefeated), but really mean nothing when you look more closely at the bums he fought to "achieve" this, at least Floyd Mayweather fought talent in lower weight classes, and to a lower extent, even in welter and super welter.

i can blame him for not thinking of his future before he got in the ring w hatton and dlh he should of been thinking of fighting the best to leave a legacy worth discusing. now mayweather is just the guy who kept ducking those in there prime.
