  1. Because they have no troops of their own but rely on a few countries to supply troops.  They also have no real power to discipline anyone..... ohhhh, I'm so scared, a sanction.  Big whoop.

  2. Usually, it is when the United States withholds its support.

You can't undercut an institution and then complain when it fails.

  3. The United Nations is a farce...I wouldn't trust them to put out a fire at a weenie roast, let alone resolve international disputes.

  4. Because the USA says so, that´s it.

    Got it Joe?

  5. no enough power to impose policy to countries, the usa use it to serve their own interests, in general dictators don't care about the un opinions, they cannot intervene without agreement of countries,

  6. because not everyone will agree on stuff.

and you cant make people follow the rules and behave..

power and money and domination of other countries will rule out any chance for reasoning....ex...hitler....

its just a matter of to many countries with to many ideas and beliefs......

  7. All they do is pass resolutions that no one follows. For example they passed sanctions on Iran, but Russia and China ignore them and supply the banned items

  8. Because the 5 permanent nations (I think US, Britain, France, Russia and China) all have to agree unanimously on a subject for it to pass. And when it was during the Cold War (1945-1991) Russia and the US disagreed with everything so nothing was effective. Only in the past 20 years has everyone been starting to work smoothly.

  9. Because the United Nations has too many veto nations, so it is near impossible for c**p to be done, because rarely do all veto nations agree.
