Why was there not a .22 caliber pistol match at the 2008 Olympics?

I believe air pistol matches fill what they want and they dont want a small bore pistol competition as well.

I can't believe they consider shooting a sport. It takes about as much effort and changing the channel on the remote control.

they should have had an rpg shooting contest, iraq could have finally won a medal.

They are afraid terrorist might infiltrate the competition with their own .2caliber.. that's y they didnt dare to implement it...
