The second and third runners to cross the finish line were so close that a photo finish was unable to see who crossed second and third. Thus, they gave the Jamaicans the gold and two silver medals. They therefore scores the top two places with three athletes- quite an oddity.

Two Jamaicans tied for second,so they both won the silver, the USA won bronze.

The two girls crossed the finish line at precisely the same time. It's only fair that they both be awarded accordingly.

That a country as small as Jamaica was able to get three medals in such a fast race is absolutely amazing! Wow!
