Why wasn't Kerry Grist, Ben Needhams mother charged with Neglect?

What is the difference in the abduction of Ben Needham (Of course she never murdered him and buried him under the sand, or sold him, that would just be unthinkable wouldn't it ) and Madeleine McCann

Yup Katkat is right When Ben Needham disappeared he was in the care of his family at their family home with adults around just like we have all left our young children with other family members, he was not left in an unlocked strange apartment in a foreign  country with 2 younger siblings whilst his parents were out having a good time

for the same reason that kate and gerry havent been charged with neglect. there was no neglect. both families did what they thought was ok at the time and unfortunately in both cases it went wrong. neither family should be charged with neglect. they made a mistake in thinking the child would be safe.

i know exactly what you are asking. if the mccanns should be charged then why not  bens mum or sarah paynes mum or anyone else whos child has suffered. how about the 3 year old that drowned in the spanish pool yesterday? child neglect there? or havent the vindictive spiteful people on here found out if the parents are rich or not?

He was playing outside his front door.They lived on Kos.She didn't go out drinking,eating and having fun with her friends.She took her eye off him for minutes,she didn't leave him for hours.

I think KatKat has said it all really. Bens mother wasn't looking after Ben, his grandparents were. Ben's mother wasnot on the pi ss everynight whilst leaving him unattended. Thats the difference between the two cases, Madelienes parents were knowingly putting their children at risk, every night.

What Katkat said. He was playing in his garden, he wasn't left sleeping in an unlocked apartment with only his younger siblings while his parents were at the local bar with their friends.
