  2. Sadly, the age requirements limit the nominations of any domestic kitty, vocal or not.

    Try out for for the Board of Supervisors, there's more action, and usually a fair number of rats.

  3. Because of the following:

    We talking cats all had previous and more important engagements.

    Groundhogs wanted the gig but they stuck them predicting the weather.

    Chickens were too busy crossing roads.

    Dogs were all howling at the moon and chasing their tails.

    Baboons were polishing their butts and throwing stuff at each other...and

    they were hoping that a human would do a decent job.
