Why we call the tree, tree?

why we call the tree, tree? why not call it house or food? who give the tree it's name?

It's an arbitrary label in our language.  In other languages it is something else.  In Chinese the word is a pictorial representation.  It doesn't matter what we call it, just as long as everyone can understand what is meant when someone refers to a tree.
