  1. A few reasons.  First, it gives you problem solving skills and some ability to think analytically.  And second, it gives you an idea of the way things work.  This is invaluable knowledge, since it allows you to understand why things happen the way they do and keeps you from doing or thinking as many stupid things.  As a physicist, I can tell you the world would be much better off if more people knew more physics.  It is sad to see how many stupid things people do and think and to know that they would have avoided that if they just knew more about how the world works.

  2. It's beautiful. Physics. As you progress you will see the real-life applications of all the theory. Stick with it. It's amazing.

  3. You don't unless you will need it for your career.

  4. Sometimes in life, you have to do things that are hard or that you don't want to do.

You do Physics because you might find you like it and are good at it. The same reason you do Maths and Geography and Art.

Failing that, it will teach you analytical skills which you can use in your every day life.

  5. Who says you have to?...you can drop it and take sissy subjects like Art if you like.

  6. To stretch your mind

  7. yeaaaa, dont study if you dont like it, study what you want and what you like. SIMPLE
