  1. What???

It is the most important gas for us.

Its man tendency of accepting only useful things!!!!!!!!

    No unnecessary things allowed

  2. We inhale air from the atmosphere which contains 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen and rest other gases present in the atmosphere.out of the inhaled air oxygon is used up in the lungs for conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, and carbon dioxide is exhailed with the unused oxygen, nitrogen and other gases. Carbon monoxide is the product of digestion of food in the intestine and is carried to lungs attached with red blood cells which turn blue duo to formation of carbonmonoxide complex with iron in the redblood cells. After reacting with oxygen the blood gains its origional red colour. So oxygen through breathing helps us to maintain the life systm.

  3. We don't. We inhale the full spectrum of atmospheric gases, and our physiology extracts oxygen and releases carbon dioxide in the smallest parts of our lungs.

  4. well we inhale each and every gas in the atmosphere

but the fact the haemoglobin on the blood is capable of only transporting oxygen and that is why we get oxygen more and it is required for respiration

  5. Im confused by your question.  We actually inhale more nitrogen than oxygen.  our atmosphere is about 78% nitrogen and 21 % oxygen.  If you are asking why we need oxygen, it is because it is essential compontent in the process for your cells to convert sugar to energy.

  6. Oxygen is used for respiration in animals and plants.

It is also used for combustion.

Like wise, each gas has seperate properties in which oxygen is suitable for respiration. So, we inhale O2.
