  1. I agree. There's no reason to encourage competitiveness at young ages and have the results of the competitions take an effect on the children's self-image.

But this is the homeschooling section and I'm a homeschooling parent. I prefer cooperation among my kids.

  2. No one can compede with your spelling. Merry Crismus.

  3. what... do you really believe competition is a bad thing

  4. it is due 2 our complex life-styles..

  5. It isn't the competition that is so damaging, but rather the way some of these children treat others with such disrespect and being racist at such a young age. You do as they are being taught or not taught at home. A little competition is good considering they will have that once they get into the real world with work and all, but too much at such a young age can also be damaging.

I have worked as a K-3rd grade Teacher both in Public and Private schools and it is the same in both.

  6. they'll have to deal with competetion anyway later in lyf..so its better they deal with it in school..and yerah.. MERRY CHRISMUS..lol..

  7. But this is the homeschooling section and I'm a homeschooling parent. I prefer cooperation among my kids.

Because all life IS competitive, by its very nature. Not everyone can win, and the earlier people learn that fact, the better. A little competition is good considering they will have that once they get into the real world with work and all.

    thanks

  8. Im poor and the only reason I compete in kindergarten to middle school is having a great job and be happy,

I chose hard work for 25 years and play for 60 years.

    Which one you choose.

    Choose mine...you wont regret it

  9. Because all life IS competitive, by its very nature.  Not everyone can win, and the earlier people learn that fact, the better.  Competition is what makes people strive to be the best they can be, or not.  It weeds out the welfare leeches from productive members of society.  If a person doesn't have a competitive drive, they won't go very far in life, that's for sure.

  10. All these competition are the major part of our life and they teach us how life's rude and happy face comes in your way.

Its depands on us how we tackle it.

If you want anything then you have to pay it is life such as when child cries then mother feeds him.

So see the life as a challenge and accept all these.

  11. Competition exists in life.

There's one GREAT job opening and 30 people applying for it.
