  1. it feels more comfortable.

  2. 1. The tightness on the knee helps keep everything secure, and in place(you don't want to end up like Stone Cold)

    2. Landing on the mat on your knees straight is very painful. And It will bust them up in no time.

  3. i dont know why people where knee pads. i guess to keep from getting burns or something from the carpet or whatever you are wrestling on.

  4. Exactly, so you don't get mat burn

  5. i wear it so i dont get mat burn on my knees and so i can slide easier

  6. Sliding your knees across the mats can be pretty painful when done fast, so wearing knee pads eliminates this pain (and allows you to slide your knees faster and with greater ease). If you don't know what I'm talking about, try doing at least 20 meters of duck walking without knee pads and see how it feels. It won't affect your wrestling negatively; just make sure you buy the proper size so they're not so small that they won't cover your knee and they're not so big that you'll have to constantly pull them back up.
