    A housewife in Oklahoma now had access to household goods only dreamed of before, a farmer could sell his cattle at markets in Chicago.

    People could travel to anywhere in the U.S. in days or weeks instead of months.

    Railroads brought more people so bankers were happy, real estate people had more business, companies could get heavy equipment that they could not have before the RR.
