Why were so many people dressed in red at Stephanie Tubbs Jones funeral? ?

I have seen people dressed in all white or all orange but I haven't ever seen people dressed in red at a funeral. Was this a personal thing for her? Thanks.

Yes, the red is a symbol from her sorority.  Delta Sigma Theta has over 200,000 sisters world wide.  They had a special viewing yesterday as well.

I watched the memorial service even though I hadn't plan to watch it.  I thought it was a very good, but too long, service.  It was supposed to be 11 to 1, but it didn't end until 3 pm.  I missed watching the OSU game because of it!
