  1. Because of their advanced technologies from other ancient cultures. For example the Myans developed a three hundred and sixty five day calendar that was modeled after the movement of the sun, moon, and stars.Other mentionable aspects of Mayan culture included: the making of textiles out of cotton, and the production of paper out off tree bark. The Aztec,One of their greatest technologies was probably

their amazing capital city in Lake Texcoco. The plan of their main city, Tenochtitlan, was similar to Venice’s, as a huge city in the water

with connecting bridges. They used the waterways for transportation and to bring supplies to market places for trading. The Aztec road system was very advanced. It was able to connect the entire Aztec Empire. Therefore the roads of the Aztec Empire display

the advancement of the Aztecs best and prove that they were not primitive.

  2. They both had large, well planned, cities with systems designed to keep them supplied and running well.

Some of things they had were; running water systems, advanced transportation networks, large well equipped and led armies, precise calendars, writing systems, advanced knowledge of mathematics, and superb engineers to plan and build the cities.

  3. I'm not sure on the Inca but I think I can help with the Aztec. They were probably considered advanced because they had developed their own writing system. Made major improvements in the science areas and developed an Empire on top of a lake which was massive and dominated other smaller Empires.

  4. They built cities and roads and ruled large areas with thousands or millions of people.

  5. In addition to the cities and roads mentioned by a previous answerer, they also built monuments and buildings that are still standing, such as Machu Picchu, built by the Incas. The Aztecs also founded the first city on the site of what is now Mexico City.
