Why were the delegates at the RNC using the hand sign of the Bloods street gang tonight.?

Whenever speakers at the RNC mentioned Obama, tonight, the audience held up the sign of the Bloods and chanted cero, cero, cero.

What does that mean? Is it a threat? Was it some kind of initiation?
