  2. The Victoria Falls, also called Mosi-oa-tunya (the smoke that thunders), is on the Zambezi River. The first European to see the falls was David Livingstone in 1855, who named them after the British queen Victoria.

  3. in 1855, Dr. Livingstone set out to follow the Zambesi river in africa along with 100 tribes.  Within 80 kilometers, he came upon a most magnifiecent waterfall.  He named this waterfall  as ''victoria falls''  after the Queen of England.  Dr.Livingstone was the first white man to have witnessed the falls.
