  1. Because each Olympics is every 4 years and they are spread out by two years. For example Summer Olympics 2008 then Winter Olympics 2010 Summer Olympics 2012 Winter Olympics 2014

  2. wow....because they are in 2010!

  3. because theres not enough snow this year so they canceled it

  4. because the Winter and Summer Olympics do not coincide with each other.

    Summer: 2000 Aus, 2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing

    Winter: 2002 US, 2006 Italy, 2010 Canada

The Olympics span 4 years between within each Summer or Winter, but there is 2 years between both Summer and Winter games.

  5. the winter olympics comes two years after the summer ones.

    2002, 2006, 2010, etc.

  6. The summer and winter games occurred in the same year until and including 1992.

The IOC then decided to have them alternating every two years. This is why the next Winter olympics were in 1994 with the next Summer games in 1996.

This was done because the IOC felt the summer games were seen by many as superior to the winter games and holding them in different years may raise the profile of winter sports.

  7. no snow yet

  8. They're in BC, Canada in 2010 .

  9. The olympics come every four years and they used to have Summer and Winter in the same year every four years.  I believe 1988 (i could be wrong) was the last year they were together.  Then they changed so that they are each still on a 4 year rotation but only 2 years separated from each other.  So every 2 we have an olympics but it vassilates betw. summer and winter

  10. its not winter

we have it on 2010 the winter olympics
