Why when I bid on ebay does it show my user name but other bidders it just shows Bidder 1, Bidder 2 etc?

Why when I bid on ebay does it show my user name but other bidders it just shows Bidder 1, Bidder 2 etc?

Only you and the seller can see this information. If you go to bid history it will tell you this. I am on EBay now bidding for a £1 note from 1970 (now withdrawn).

it only shows your name to yourself and the seller, not the other ebayers...bidder 1 and so on will be only displayed on their cmputors and again the sellers...

because the seller has set the auction as PRIVATE so no one else can see other bidders names.

thats only because youre viewing it.  When others look they will see their name and bidder 1 or 2 or whatever for your name

everyone is the same, bidding is private now, only the seller can see the bidders full id's
