Why when I connect my pool vacuum the pressure goes down to 4 psi?

When I connect the cleaner the pressure of my pool goes down from 15 to 4, it this is air leak how to fix it is there any material I can use in order to seal the leak?

Is the hose clear of obstruction? If so it could be sucking air due to cracks in it because of age. Replace the hose, it's not expensive.

Also, it'll last longer if you store it out of the sun.

Pressure inside the filter is caused by the water flow in it.  Check your vacum hose if there are any object stuck in it.  If less water is able to flow, the pressure reading will indeed drop.
