Like 10 is 10, 19 is 70, 25 is 76, 57 is 113? Why are the channels changed to something different with the bunny ears.

  1. Your TV set needs to the set to the broadcast / antenna / over the air setting.

Channels 2 - 13 are the same for cable TV and Broadcast TV above that they are different.

On your remote control press setup or menu and look for the channel setup option.  Each TV manufacture uses different menus.  But look for the TV or Antenna or Broadcast or Over the  Air and change it to that.

You are on Cable/CATV now.  It must be changed for you set to work properly... NOTE Cable channel 70 is close to the frequency used by broadcast TV channel 25 so you pick it up but with some distortion.

NOTE: By U.S. law every TV set made since 1964 must be able to pick up the Broadcast Stations.  So your set will work fine at least until February 2009, when all Over The Air TV becomes digital. Then you will need either a digital converter box or a digital tuner built into your TV.

  2. you are not going with the cable company or dish network

  3. Your TV has a Digital Tuner in it. They are on the digital band so you will see digital versions of channels you know and even additional digital subchannels much further up the dial than you are used to seeing them.
