Why when i download things the percent moves to slow?

I have bitcomet and i am downloading a 2.56 gb file downloading i amd going around 40kb/s for like 4 hours and i barly have 0.6%???

At your rate of 40 kb/s, that means the download will take about 18.7 hours to download the entire file. The percentage will increase very very slowly given how big the file is.

If you want to download the file faster, you need to sign up for faster internet service such as DSL or high-speed cable.
