Why when i ring my parents in italy do i get a constant engaged tone.?

It has never happened before and i ring every week. for the last 48 hours all i get is an this tone. How do you find if there is a fault or something wrong with there end?? Any answers please.

i think thats what the ring tone sound like when you phone abroad.try again i hope you get through

It sounds like their phone is off the hook. Do you not have a mobile number for them? Or another family member in Italy you could call to ask about this problem?

Are you sure it's an engaged tone you are hearing,

Some countries ringing tones sound exactly like the UK engaged tone.

Don't you have another number to call? A friend or a neighbour of your parents? They might have the phone off the hook.
