since he is noble and merciful, couldn't he kill all those people in a less painful death? drowning seem to be a very horrible way to die, if he loved them, why don't he just have them a heart attack, or simply vanish them?

omitting the questioning of knowing if they all deserved to die, including the children, animals, plants and fetuses, of course

  1. Actually God was very merciful. He told everyone the flood was going to come. He had Noah build a boat so people could survive the flood. They are the ones who chose to disbelieve. Only 8 people got onto the boat but there was obviously room for many more. Yea, drowning would be scary. But they had their opportunity to live and they decided to not believe.

This is the pattern of God throughout history. He tells us what is going to happen and He gives us a way to avoid it. But, like the flood, the majority of people ignore Him. He tells us these things because He loves us and wants us to know the truth.

Similarly, He has told us that sin leads to h**l. Then He sent His son, Jesus, to earth to pay the penalty for all sin so that those who believe Him can go to heaven. Notice the parallels to the flood story. God tells us what will the happen. He provides a way for us to avoid it. It is up to us to believe. Sadly, just like the flood, the vast majority of people will not believe in Jesus and will end up in h**l. It doesn't have to happen. Everyone has to make their choice as to whether they will believe God or not. Please don't be one of the people who choose not to believe.

  2. Because our God is not the merciful, loving God to all people all of the time God as we were taught He was in Sunday school.

  3. She was in a bad mood.

  4. You must have missed the part about God being wrathful as well.  If you read the Bible, you will find that message everywhere.  God is much more than the merciful God you believe Him to be.

  5. God punishes whom He likes to punish. He can destroy what He likes to destroy.

  6. He cleansed the earth- how do you clean something usually- with water.

God is a merciful God but also a jealous God and a vengeful God at times. The world was full of sin- he saved mankind through noah and his family. We all are related(even to the atheists)

  7. Actually, I've heard that except for that moment of struggle, once water gets into your lungs the death is quite peaceful.

  8. Gods judgment is complete, and final.  It is not our place to judge Him.  Was it any more horrible than the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Egyptian army in the Red Sea

  9. Remember when Moses saw God in the Burning Bush? He said 2 Moses "I am what I am" U get where I'm going with this?

  10. Because god is imaginary.

By the way, u r very hot!

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this deion .. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.

  11. So you DO believe in God.  Like most atheists, you are happy to believe in God when insults are involved.  Either admit you believe in Him or stop asking these dumb@ss troll "questions."
