Why when the rest of the world decides Sufism is bid'ah, Turkey promotes sufism as its national heritage?

Why Turkish videos start with bismillah and then show images of the Turkish military- which is the main force preventing Islam being practiced properly in Turkey?

First of all, the "rest of the world" has not to decide what it bid'ah or not, it is a question between an individual and his/her God based on knowledge obtained from the Scriptures, hadiths and the guidance that Aalims give us.. Secondly, it is necessary to take an objective look at Sufism because he/she who calls himself/herself a Sufi, may have nothing to do with spirituality, nor with Islam, nor with bid'ah. Many people use the term in an esoteric sense, and it is noteworthy to know that there are people calling themselves Sufi in many major religions.

If you address the question concerning Islamic sufism, then you must know there are breakdowns. Some people simple have in their capacity range, a sense of perception and understanding (which Allah gives them) different from others.

Where it becomes dangerous for the individual and for the onlooker, is when they fail to use moderation and objectivity and they let themselves develop habits which engender practices which are displeasing to Allah swt.

In certain societies, Sufi practices, often based on human understanding (or misunderstanding) or esoteric systems of cause and event, come about on account of cultural identity, and this is excellent playground, like other issues, for the whisperer. What is really the issue here is why people need to identify with groups and wear labels, when a Muslim already has everything he/she needs to be happy, if the individual has understood that the principal purpose of our very existence, is to worship our God because He is worthy of it, and has nothing to do with adherence to different labels.

Whats wrong with Sufism?? Its the reason why so many people convert to islam daily!. We owe sufism alot for giving us more brothers and sisters, so i dont understand why people think Sufis commit shirk, and bla bla bla. Sufis are muslims at a spiritual level. Whats wrong with that???

Dont believe what you hear from some sufi sects who tend to believe differently. That does not mean all sufis are like that, just like all muslims are not terrorists okay. The core belief of Sufism is no different than Islam.

islam is going through a bad period. Its philosophical and intellectual base is being destroyed my Saudi sponsored Wahbism which in turn has effected various other groups in Iran and Lebanon) . you don't get it because it involves thinking for your self and not an empty islam you want, but a living thinking islam

Well...if it lends any direction...Ottoman Turkey is also where the Khilafah was formally and finally abolished. Its also where we get that crescent and star symbol we all love so much.
