  1. White tigers are not extinct. They are not a separate species or subspecies - they are simply Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris tigris) with a genetic condition called leucism, which results in reduced pigmentation. This is not the same as albinism, which is a total lack of pigment - an albino tiger is completely white (no stripes) and has pink eyes, not blue. All tigers are endangered due to the actions of human beings, and there were fewer white tigers than normally coloured ones to begin with, since the condition is passed on by recessive genes and is generally detrimental to the animal - most white individuals are killed as cubs, since their colour makes them stand out as an obvious target for predators. Those that do make it to adulthood have a tough time hunting for the same reason - lacking the natural camouflage of normally coloured tigers makes it easier for their prey to see them coming. White tigers are common in captivity as they are a draw for zoos and wildlife parks, which unfortunately means that many of them are inbred and can suffer the detrimental effects.

  2. they were never common in the first place, i believe they are rare genetic version of the bengal tiger that also lives in India

they were poached alot in the recent years as the skins fetch a fiar price on the market, zoologists are not sure if they are extinct or not yet, there are the occasional spottings in the wild, but the exact number is not known

  3. they were poached for their hides!!!! >:O

  4. A bigger number died than the numbers that had birth. Less and less white tigers until 0.

  5. They are on the verge of extinction, not extinct. There are only a few left in the world, and that's because a long time ago, as with most animals from back then they were hunt down for their fur, and poachers to this day continue to do this to endangered animals, even with the laws protecting their species.

So yeah, they're not extinct, they're endangered. Reason: They were hunt for their fur.

  6. They are becoming extinct due to inbreeding regression.

  7. Because of HUMAN'S activities.POACHING!!!For their fat,skin and many.

  8. There not extinct yet but there are not many left of species of a white tiger. as a zoologist me and my team are trying to stop poachers by killing ang catching these beautiful creatures. the main reason they almost to be extinct or you could call them "endangered species"  is because the people named poachers keep killing them so they could use there skin so they could make it in carpets, clothes, decorations, and etc and the horrible reason why they do this is because they want to make income now there is a new law that animal poaching is prohibited in other countries but for some reason they still break this law. as a zoologist i hope i gave you enoungh information about that question you had asked. god bless.
