  1. because people like to argue over ridiculous things. ridiculous because we all know it will never be 100% proven or disproven, so we use "God" as an excuse to argue over other more immediate things, because everyone has an agenda. it doesnt have to be that way, but deep down, secretly, we all love it. God help us! :P

  2. Then why are parents a big issue?  Why are presidents and head of states a big issues?

  3. Because he explains the unexplainable and gives people some comfort as to what will happen after they die.

  4. All gods are only an issue to those who believe!

  5. Because people will kill for their beliefs.

  6. because tom jerry said so smack dog

  7. Well, everyone has a different mindset, ideology, outlook, point of view, up bringing, and etc. But for me who believes in God, this is all i can say; it is better to have a promised hope than to have nothing to hope for.

  8. God isn't, since by itself it's a neutral culture based construct, it's the nonsense built around it is what's been fueling wars for centuries now. And than they wonder why we view religion negatively.

  9. Because the existence of god is a black or white statement.  Many people feel that life would be unbearable without the aspect of eternal life.  I feel this is vain and narsicistic, though we all need something to believe in!  For many people god is a way of life, if you take that away from  them they are left wanting.... I like to say whatever floats  your boat!

  10. ...GOD is a creation of religion both man made, to control the populace...some believe ...others don't...thus...the big god issue...

  11. b/c the discovery of god is the culmination of all knowledge, and yet theists are claiming that they discovered this long before we discovered the laws of gravity. now i'm no genius but if you ask me, there is something fishy w/ that assertion, the assertion that there is a god, and we know of it in an "ancient" book. yea... we had ancient books of science also and 99.9% of them have either been upgraded or debunked. why isn't the bible any different, why should it be the only book that remains correct for all time? it just makes no logical sense.
