because they are on top right now. when a product or products do well people like to discriminate against them. people typically root for the underdog and in this case apple isnt in that category. perhaps people are just getting sick of the fact that apple has been on top for so long. so long in fact that they are getting so cocky as to make "new products" that are rehashes of the old ones. so actually right now i think the hate is justified.
