  1. You already knew the answer to this before you asked it. Joe B said it well. I don't want to spend 20K on a bike, when I can spend 8K on a better bike, one that's just as good. I just bought a new '07 Yamaha V-star 1300, and it's my 6th bike. I love it, and it doesn't leak oil, scare the neighbors, or overheat on a hot day in traffic. Yeah, yeah... I know, resale value, the 'mystique', the 'ride American' thing. When an American company can produce a good product at a reasonable price, I'll be the first in line! For now, I'm keeping the 12K I saved and putting it in my gas tank...!!!

  2. You can't wheelie down the freeway on a stock Harley, nor can you do a stopie.

  3. WHO CARES?! It's a personal preference... people can buy whatever brand of motorcycle they want. Does it really make a difference?

  4. well i view it as

    1) i dont want 2 be know as the biker w/ such radical noise coming out of my bike

    2) because i think that HD's are way overprised, cause i've already seen a HD go 4 25,000$, dude for 25grand i'll go out and buy myself a car

    3) i dont feel like sitting stright up when riding, which means less air resistance which means less MPG's. Its been proven that if you sit stright up you loose 5 miles to the gallon, well when you only have 4 gallons  I want 2 get the most gas 4 my dollar.

    4)  I dont want 2 have handlebars that are eye leval

  5. As an American I am disgusted that American Manufactures cannot make a high quality, affordable American motorcycle!.

I am forced to buy a Japanese bike because its much better quality at a lower price.

I do not like the stuck up attitude of HD Dealers, and all Japanese Dealers are low class cheats and weasels.

Look at Ford, GM, and Chrysler! their car sales are wayyy down because the Japanese imports make a much better higher quality car! HD is in the same boat!

I wish it wasn't that way, I would feel much better if I could spend my hard earned money on American products knowing I was helping my fellow Americans

  6. Can't go fast on a Harley

  7. I have rode Harley forever ,I think that rice is nice in a Chinese restaurant !!

Got a photo of my Dad on a Harley,My Uncle on a Harley My Granddad on a Harley My great Uncle on an original.

The whole century Dedicated to American Heritage!!

  8. I didn't buy a hardley.  I've got a VTX1800

  9. i love harleys, but i am too short to ride one,,,my inseam is only 24 inches,,,,will a sportster fit me????

  10. It came with a plow and disc so I could take care of the farm.

  11. um, what?

I would love to buy a Harley, but they are out of my price range.

I bought a j*p bike for the sole purpose that I love to ride and it is all I can afford.

  12. I did buy a few HD's.... best bikes I ever had!!!!

  13. well olsumbich, If you put your dentures back in before you ask, we might can understand ur ol Azzz. LOL

U smell like moth ballz man!

Nah really though, Harley is too expensive. The price to quality to performance ratio doesn't equate. The younger guys like to go fast and impress the ladies. The young ladies.

I'm almost 30 so in another 10 to 15 years, I may switch over to riding a cruiser. It won't be an overpriced Harley though.

Harley isn't entirely American made either!

  14. Because they are full of ****, the whole "image" thing probably gets the better of them so they have to buy one, "badass" my ******* balls, i saw one yesterday at a bike meet and it wouldn't even start, he tried about 12 times before it would go, i felt like kicking it down the steps into the sea. Lol @ at the bandanas, it makes them look like turkeys.

  15. Because Indian wasn't making them at the time I bought one !!Indians are American made right in Springfield MA. It comes down to riding what ya like,or what you can afford. Riding is like a serious thirst for some, and when your thirsty ,do ya care what type of faucet ya have ?

  16. firstly, I'm NOT a youngster, I'm 45. I've been riding bikes since I was 10 and have owned 70 motorcycles over the years (including 3 harleys) I enjoyed riding every single one of them. I sold my harleys back in the 90's as I was sick of the attitude of w@nkers that bought harleys and all the harley merchandising so they could hang out at the local trendy coffee shop and pretend to be "bikers".

Most people who buy harleys today are the same, they are buying an image.

As for the "buy american" debate, I'm Australian, so I don't give a stuff about it.

I'm a motorcyclist, I ride motorcycles, and have been doing so for long enough to realise that the name on the tank doesn't mean a thing.

If you live by the adage "I'd rather push my harley than ride a j*p bike" then you are not a motorcyclist, just a f**king idiot
