Why wifi does not work on my ipod touch?

Question

first i went to setting than wifi. there i chose a network named "linksys"

then pressed the home button. it is showing the networkbars up left corner but when i try to open my safary intrnet browser,it says "safari can't open the page because it can't find the server"

please help

Linksys is usually secured so you cannot gain access if you don't know the password. Look for an unsecured network. Then the internet browser will open.

Hate to brake it to you sweetie but "linksys" is only mean to transfer connections. I have one and my coputer connects to it and it connects to the internet using wifi. try and find another one :)

Why do people even bother answering if they have no clue what they are talking about. "Hate to brake it to you sweetie but "linksys" is only mean to transfer connections" Seriously? Please don't respond if you have no idea what you mean. Linksys is the default ssid for any linksys router. You probably can't get a connection because you are either to far away from the access point, or they use mac addresses and your device isn't registered on their network. Getting your own router would likely solve this problem.
