  1. hes losing those points because sometime your points will "expire" pretty much. cuz if every one keeps all the points theyve ever earned, then it would be pretty much impossible to be #1

& wat the people above me said.

  2. He drops the points because last year he got to the Toronto final and also won Cincinnati. This year he lost in the 2nd and 3rd round respectively.

Because of the Olympics those points have not yet been taken away from last year and replaced with what he got in those two tournaments this year

  3. The reason for this is due to the current form of Roger Federer.

We can both admit it has been far from his highest peak in the US Open, Cinciantie open, and wimbledon.

In all of these major tennis tournaments Federer has failed to live up to his former ranking meaning he loses points in the process.

Where as Nadal has been on terrific form after winning the US open, reaching the quarter finals of the cincianatie open and ofcoarse winning wimbledon.

As a result Roger Federer loses points as well as his place as world number one to Rafael Nadal.

    I hope this helped.

  4. Who know why! As long as Nadal is number one Im fine with that

  5. Those are the points he has from winning Cincinnati and reaching the finals of Canada last year. These points are dropped after 52 weeks just before the tournament starts. To accomodate the olympics, these two tournaments were held early this year. Thats why the points count till aug 18.
