My computer runs on vista and im very new to vista and as to this point hate it. Anyway i had a program downloaded on my computer i deleted it using add/remove programs and it did fine, but the icon stays on my desk top. I have tried moving it to trash can and tried to right click delete i get a message saying could not find this item.

This is no longer located in C:/users/public/desktop/bittorrent.ink verify the items location and try again

But i already uninstalled the program with XP the icons got deleted with the program.

ANY HELP??

  1. try right clicking on the desktop and clicking "refresh"

  2. re-install the program via flash player and then delete the desktop icon off the desktop THEN un-install the program via add/remove programs because at the moment the desktop icon won't delete because its program source is deleted so you have no access to it.

  3. when uninstalling the problem

you might have unchecked the option for deleting the shortcut

you can reinstall the program and delete the shortcut and choose the option to also remove the program

there are also other ways of removing the icon but if not done properly it can harm your computer

what ever you will do will be at your own risk

i am just tellin you the steps on how to remove the icon

as i am not tellin you to do that

    take care
