the spark plugs are firing. gas is getting to the carburetor. the air filter is clean. i cleaned the radiator out. the last time it ran was about a month ago and right before that the timing was wrong. i fixed that started it and drove it for about a minute parked it and it never started again.

  1. Sounds to me that your timing is wrong again.

  2. There could be a whole bunch of reasons and you need to give more details.

But you say gas is getting to the carb but you don't say where. It could be in the bowl but not going to the manifold and into the engine. Put a small amount of gas in one or two of the cylinders and see if it runs a short time or maybe it will just start.

I agree with the other answer that you probably still have a spark/timing problem. Are the plug wires on correct. In the right order. Check a book.

  3. Spray some gas into the carb. and choke it If it still doesn't start you have a timing(or valve/ring ( ie compression)) problem. If it starts and dies you need to clean the carb. passages.
