  1. NO DVD's are fitted with anti theft and copyright techonology which prevents them from being copied music does not have this techology as of yet.

  2. You can try Cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/rmvb/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter Pro which is easy to use and very fast. It enables you to convert and burn any video file directly to VCD, DVD, and SVCD. And it has great video edit function. So it becomes an all-in-one VCD/SVCD/DVD Creator. And it has been optimized for 64 bit CPU.

  3. If you don't have a dvd-rw drive then you do, even if you do, the film has to be transcoded so you need a dvd burning prog like nero or cyberlinks power producer to edit and prepare the film for burning so you can watch it on an ordinary dvd player.  There are some freeware, open source progs, you can download for the job if you don't want to pay, so you could google open source, and see what pops up.  Best of luck!

  4. I don't know the specs of your computer, but maybe your drive is only capable of burning CDs? and only allows you to watch DVDs? If that is the case, you need to get a DVD-RW that allows you to burn DVDs as well.

Another thing could be simply the software that you're using or not using. If you're downloading videos off the internet, i recommend using "Winavi" to convert your videos to a DVD format" and burn them with "Nero" or "Copy to DVD". A product that does both is "convert to dvd" by the same company that does "Copy to dvd".

If you're trying to copy from DVDs that you bought from the store, it's copyrighted. You can bypass that with a product called "AnyDVD".
