Why will my sky+ box not play back recorded programmes?

Are the recording on channels you can no longer watch / no longer subscribed too - because this stops them.

Mine does that occassionally.  Take the Sky card out and take the lead out of the back for a about 5 minutes and then plug it all back in again and hooray!!! happy viewing

It's probably one of the many S****y quality Sky+ boxes that's simply broken down again because it's just 2nd-hand tat that has been sent back to Sky, "refurbished" and then given to you. I've had 6 or 7, so I know that they suck. Call Sky and say you want a brand new box or you'll switch to Virgin Media. As soon as you mention the dreaded V word, they bend over backwards to sort your problems out. ;-)

Mine done that, and when I called sky I was told that I needed a new box. They replaced the box for me free of charge.

Thats is the only advice I can offer you i'm afraid..

ring up sky, they take you thru a system check, if it was working previously.

if its never worked at all, you could find the engineer hasnt set up the 2nd wire system to enable recording - you can check this urself - if when ur recording you cant watch a 2nd channel chances are this is the case

best thing is to ring sky, theyll help you out
