  2. According to the big bang theory, everything in the universe is expanding, so the distance between the stars is increasing, this expansion of the universe is just so small its not noticable in a lifetime

  3. All the stars in the sky are constantly moving, including those that make up the Big Dipper. We don't notice this motion because the stars are so extremely distant, but in 100,000 years the Big Dipper and other constellations too will look different.
